OPF Emulation Hackathon – Sneak Preview on Emulation

We are currently preparing for the OPF Hackathon from Nov. 13 to Nov. 15 in Freiburg i.B., Germany. To provide you all with a preview of what to expect in the practical sessions we have set up a demo-server hosting our emulation framework. Currently we support about 10 different hardware/operating systems combinations covering MacOS 7-10, various MS systems, OS/2 etc. Emulators for M68K, PPC, x86 and ARM are available. These emulators/os combinations can be tested and should give an overview of the kinds of digital objects which could potentially be rendered.

If you plan to test something specific please let us know. We will try to set something up for you.

Due to licensing restrictions access to the server is password protected. Please contact isgandar.valizada(at)rz.uni-freiburg.de or klaus.rechert(at)rz.uni-freiburg.de to get username and password.
