Hackathon Session 1: Getting Started with GitHub

Hackathon Session 1: Getting Started with GitHub

Online

Overview

Nearly all contributions to OPF projects are handled via GitHub, the world’s largest repository of open-source software. You will likely encounter GitHub if you want to report a problem, suggest improvements, or contribute to the software and documentation. We know that GitHub can feel intimidating, so we’re running some introductory sessions to get people started with the basics.

This session will cover the basics of getting to grips with GitHub. Carl will cover how to raise issues, how to create an account, and why you need to use it.

Please note that this session will be recorded, and made available for the community on our upcoming forum!
