The Digital Preservation Coalition is delighted to announce the next set of finalists for the Most Outstanding Digital Preservation Initiative in Industry Category of the 2016 Digital Preservation Awards.
The prestigious Digital Preservation Awards is a world-wide celebration of the achievements of those people and organisations who have made significant and innovative contributions to ensuring our generation’s digital legacy will be available tomorrow. It culminates in an eagerly anticipated awards ceremony at the Wellcome Trust in London on Wednesday 30th November 2016.
Vice chair of the judging panel with responsibility for the Industry award, Tim Gollins of the National Records of Scotland said,’ I am delighted that we are able to offer an award which recognises the great efforts undertaken within businesses across the world. I hope these two excellent projects go on to highlight the importance and effectiveness of digital preservation activities to functions and services we all rely on every day.’

Before the judges decide the winners, members of the Digital Preservation Coalition will be invited to cast their vote on each category once all the finalists have been announced. Members will be asked to select their first and second choices for each category, and are asked to provide feedback to the finalists. Each Full Member, Associate and Allied Organisation of the DPC may submit one vote.
Finalists will then wait until the prestigious Digital Preservation Awards ceremony at the Wellcome Trust in London where winners will be announced in front of their own digital preservation community, friends, family and peers from leading organisations.
