JHOVE 1.30 is now available for production use. JHOVE is an open-source file format identification, validation and characterisation tool for digital preservation and part of the OPF reference toolset.
Major new features of this release include:
- FIX: Empty properties causing extra indents in XmlHandler
- Re-implement javax.xml.bind.DatatypeConverter.printHexBinary(byte[])
- Provide some German messages
- Replace javax.json with jakarta.jso
There are also some small bug fixes and improvements to the PDF, WAVE, XML, modules, and GUI.
