Come join us as custodians of the UKs national collection of digital content

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work at the cutting edge of repository management and help ensure the Library can preserve its digital collections far into the future. Working closely with colleagues from across the Library, you will be part of our Digital Preservation Team and be a leading source of expertise in long term system management. You’ll work with colleagues to ensure our repository infrastructure and processes are of sufficiently high quality to meet the Library’s legal obligations and support us in our role as the nation’s digital cultural memory.

The successful candidate will care about the longevity of the British Library’s digital material and be motivated to work with both content owners and technical colleagues to manage the day to day running of the repository and keep watching watchful eye over repository development initiatives. You will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and your knowledge and experience with preserving digital collections will be of particular importance.

This is a fixed term post for two years, based at Boston Spa. The post holder will be expected to travel on occasion, either to other Library sites, nationally, or internationally.
