The PREMIS Data Dictionary for Preservation Metadata is the international standard for metadata to support the preservation of digital objects and ensure their long-term usability. Developed by an international team of experts, PREMIS is implemented in digital preservation projects around the world.
The PREMIS EC is seeking to fill up 3 vacancies on the Editorial Committee (EC) during the winter of 2023/2024. They will evaluate all applications as soon as possible and may follow up with applicants via an online call.
The EC meets monthly, currently on the third Wednesday of the month at 3pm CET/CEST. In addition, smaller EC working groups focusing on specific tasks–like outreach, rights statements, and other topics–meet regularly outside of the monthly EC meeting. They expect EC members to be able to devote regular time to committee work. They try to meet in person once a year, most often at the annual iPRES conference, and would appreciate your attendance there. They seek applicants from the preservation community around the world. Applicants with experience within the research metadata field is a bonus.
