Two Years of Collective Work on Data Formats at BnF

Two Years of Collective Work on Data Formats at BnF

Online

Since 2018, BnF has reactivated its activity of monitoring and studying data and metadata formats for the preservation of digital information, in order to publish a revised, justified and accepted formats policy. The year 2020 was marked by a significant acceleration in the pace of work, which resulted in the publication, early this year, of a policy document, firstly intended for the institution itself, but also to its partners, network and potential donors.

The webinar will focus on the organisation of work within the “Formats Group”. It will also present its outcome, the BnF policy document, and the tools used to build expertise on formats.

Speakers

Bertrand Caron and Thomas Ledoux, Bibliothèque nationale de France

Please note the timezone for this webinar: it will start at 15:00 Central European Time.
