We are excited to welcome Anna De Sousa as the newest member of our Board of Directors

Anna is a Senior Digital Archivist at The National Archives, UK (TNA). She leads the digital archivists in their work preserving the Public Record of the UK Government. Anna has an MA in Archives & Records Management from UCL and has worked with both the British Library and TNA, where she has worked since 2015.

The OPF board represents the Foundation’s membership and plays a vital role in making strategic decisions and monitoring ongoing activities.

Anna said:

“I’m delighted to be joining the OPF Board, with the OPF’s strong background of working to ensure that digital preservation solutions are available for everyone who needs them. I look forward to collaborating and learning from them and engaging with digital preservation practitioners from around the world.”

Julie Allen, OPF Executive Director, said:

“Our board brings together leaders in the digital preservation community and represents the voice of our global membership. We are thrilled to welcome Anna as our newest director – as a digital preservation specialist for the UK Government’s public records, she brings a valuable new perspective to the team. We look forward to working with her over the coming years.”

Anna replaces David Clipsham, who was an OPF director since 2019 and is now moving on to a new role. We wish David every success in his future career and thank him for his hard work and dedication to the OPF community.
